Central Java Food Prices Wednesday (8/5): Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (8/5/2024) at 15.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, farmer-level corn, red chilies, fine iodized salt, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium-grain rice saw the highest price increase of Rp120 (0.93%) to Rp13,010 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the largest price decrease of Rp590 (10.3%) to Rp5,140 per kg.
