Central Java Food Prices Saturday (April 27th): Chili Prices Up, Beef Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (27/4/2024) at 16:55 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, iodized fine salt, garlic bulbs, bulk wheat flour, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, Indian mackerel, dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp990 (2.67%) to Rp38,050 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp460 (7.07%) to Rp6,050 per kg.
