Current Food Prices in West Sumatra, How Much is Red Chili?

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (10/12/2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, curly red chili, fresh buffalo meat (local), garlic bulbs, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as dried soybean seeds (imported), bulk wheat flour, medium rice, packaged cooking oil, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices surged the highest by Rp13,975 (17.99%) to Rp91,667 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices dropped the deepest by Rp64,917 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
