Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (6/7/2024) at 15.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, bulk cooking oil, pure beef, SPHP rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, shallots, dry soybeans (import), bulk wheat flour, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up by Rp410 (0.85%) to Rp48,480 per kg. Red onions saw the largest price decrease, down by Rp370 (1.01%) to Rp36,130 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on July 6, 2024, at 15.21 WIB.

8. Milkfish: Rp32,770 per kg (down 0.33%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,290 per kg (down 0.82%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,430 per kg (down 0.27%)
