Bali's Daily Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (6/12/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, red chilies, SPHP rice, garlic bulbs, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, pure beef, dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp3,190 (12.34%) to Rp29,040 per kg. Simple packaged cooking oil experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp800 (4.41%) to Rp17,340 per liter.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on December 6, 2024, at 09.05 WIB.

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,810 per kg (down 1.21%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,650 per kg (down 0.74%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp20,740 per kg (up 1.07%)
11. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,570 per liter (down 0.9%)
