Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Beef, Egg, and Oil Prices Increase

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include large red chili, medium rice, milkfish, skipjack tuna, and consumption sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, packaged wheat flour, imported dry soybean seeds, premium rice, and consumption salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity saw the highest jump of IDR 1,577 (2.89%) to IDR 56,180 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of consumption salt dropped the deepest by IDR 148 (1.36%) to IDR 10,759 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: IDR 36,475 per kg (down 0.35%)
7. Red Cayenne Pepper: IDR 36,082 per kg (down 0.3%)
8. Garlic Cloves: IDR 33,541 per kg (down 0.21%)
9. Broiler Eggs: IDR 28,881 per kg (up 0.02%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: IDR 28,596 per kg (up 0.42%)
