Latest Food Prices in Indonesia: Eggs Up, Red Cayenne Pepper Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (September 18, 2025) at 09.16 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 23 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increasing prices are mackerel and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, consumption salt, packaged cooking oil, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Mackerel prices jumped the highest by Rp304 (0.73%) to Rp42,226 per kg. Red cayenne pepper prices, however, fell the sharpest by Rp4,870 (10.05%) to Rp43,597 per kg.
