Current Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Beef, Red Chili Peppers, and Eggs Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (22/4/2025) at 15.03 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, Minyakita (branded cooking oil), premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna increased the most, by Rp229 (0.73%) to Rp31,416 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the most, by Rp7,601 (10.99%) to Rp61,550 per kg.
