Price of Large Red Chilies in Traditional Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in Papua province was recorded at Rp58,750. This price decreased by Rp1,250 compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp78,550.

Meanwhile, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in Papua over the last three months has decreased by 30.56%. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in Papua province was traded at Rp84,600.

The record increase in the daily price of large red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in August 2023 with an increase of 73.28%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2023 with a decrease of -42.89%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in Papua recorded 10 commodities decreased and 12 others increased. The staple foods with decreased prices are Large Red Chilies, Red Chilies, Medium-sized Garlic, Garlic, Curly Red Chilies, Low Quality I Rice, Low Quality II Rice, Medium Quality I Rice, Medium Quality II Rice, and Rice.
