Indonesia Food Prices Tuesday (August 6th): Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (August 6, 2024) at 2:51 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, broiler chicken, pure beef, red chilies, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), fine iodized salt, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp240 (0.54%) to Rp44,350 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price drop of Rp500 (1.5%) to Rp32,920 per kg.
