Current Food Prices in Banten: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (16/8/2024) at 09.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, pure beef, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, curly red chilies, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp630 (5.05%) to Rp13,110 per kg. Shallots experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp3,110 (12.06%) to Rp22,670 per kg.
