Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (5/11/2025) at 09:53 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 increased and 17 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were dried soybean seeds (imported), consumption salt, bulk wheat flour, pure beef, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, bulk cooking oil, red bird's eye chili, skipjack tuna, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt prices surged the highest by Rp435 (4.09%) to Rp11,081 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices dropped the most by Rp6,681 (13.53%) to Rp42,705 per kg.
