Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra Region, What is the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (9/10/2024) at 12:36 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, mackerel fish, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, dry soybean (import), red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp270 (5.01%) to Rp5,660 per kg. Red chili prices saw the steepest decline, dropping Rp4,480 (10.22%) to Rp39,360 per kg.
