Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Chicken Meat, Chilies, and Eggs Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (9/8/2024) at 13.43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, shallots, chicken eggs, broiler chicken, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Indian mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp4,480 (16.06%) to Rp32,380 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots saw the largest price decrease of Rp560 (2.2%) to Rp24,840 per kg.
