Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Rice and Egg Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (7/5/2024) at 18.20 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, Indian mackerel, milkfish, bulk wheat flour, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, red chilies, dry imported soybeans, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at Rp5,510 (20.43%) to Rp32,480 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the least at Rp1,270 (4.47%) to Rp27,150 per kg.
