Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Monday (April 22nd): Egg, Chicken, and Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (22/4/2024) at 16.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, medium-grain rice, red chilies, pure beef, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, broiler chicken, premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,410 (3.38%) to Rp43,070 per kg. The price of Indian mackerel saw the lowest decrease of Rp790 (2.51%) to Rp30,640 per kg.
