Food Prices in West Sumatra, Tuesday (August 13th): What's the Price of Fish?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (13/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, garlic bulbs, chicken eggs, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, medium rice, fine iodized salt, mackerel, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp4,940 (14.94%) to Rp38,000 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices fell the most sharply by Rp5,950 (10.07%) to Rp53,130 per kg.
