Yogyakarta Special Region's Latest Food Prices: Oil and Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (29/8/2024) at 11:40 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, iodized fine salt, mackerel fish, dry soybean (import), and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp950 (3.25%) to Rp30,210 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk wheat flour experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp170 (1.89%) to Rp8,810 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Yogyakarta according to Bapanas on August 29, 2024, at 11:40 WIB.
