Daily Cooking Oil Prices at Modern Markets, December 2023-2024

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp22,450 per kg. This price is unchanged from the previous day, and has remained consistent over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets has not changed from the previously recorded Rp22,450 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in Papua over the past three months has decreased by 1.32%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in Papua Province was traded at Rp22,750 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of cooking oil in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2022 with an increase of 40.05%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2023 with a decrease of -8.96%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show four commodities decreased and 14 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Rice, Low-Quality Grade I Rice, Low-Quality Grade II Rice, and Medium-Quality Grade II Rice.

5. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp85,500 per kg (up 34.12%)
6. Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp95,750 per kg (up 20.44%)
7. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp62,000 per kg (up 41.71%)
8. Green Bird's Eye Chili per kg: Rp95,750 per kg (up 36.79%)
9. Rice per kg: Rp16,500 per kg (down 0.3%)
10. Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp34,500 per kg (unchanged)
11. Medium-Sized Red Onion per kg: Rp61,250 per kg (up 30.32%)
12. Low-Quality Grade I Rice per kg: Rp15,950 per kg (down 0.62%)
13. Low-Quality Grade II Rice per kg: Rp15,450 per kg (down 0.64%)
