Today's Food Prices (Jan 7) in West Java: Red Chili Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (Jan 7, 2026) at 18:22 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were Honan garlic, bulk granulated sugar, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, red bird's eye chili, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili rose the highest by Rp334 (0.89%) to Rp37,967 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird's eye chili fell the sharpest by Rp1,800 (3.14%) to Rp55,500 per kg.
