Red Chili Pepper Price in East Kalimantan Reaches Rp 159,900 per Kg (Friday, July 12, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 82,230 per kg, as of Friday, July 12, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 86,910 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 159,900 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 69,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Papua, red chili peppers were sold at Rp 120,400 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in North Maluku was Rp 118,700 per kg, Maluku Rp 118,000 per kg, and West Kalimantan Rp 115,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 18 provinces with red chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers are South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
