Red Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in Indonesia (Friday, July 5, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 82,270 per kg, as of Friday, July 5, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 87,460 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 159,450 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 64,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Maluku, the price of red chili peppers was sold at Rp 118,700 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in Maluku was Rp 118,000 per kg, West Kalimantan Rp 115,000 per kg, and Southeast Sulawesi Rp 106,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 17 provinces with red chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers are South Sulawesi, East Java, and West Sulawesi.
