Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Egg, Salt, and Onion Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (12/8/2024) at 2:52 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as fine iodized salt, pure beef, premium rice, granulated sugar, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp370 (1.13%) to Rp33,100 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili experienced the sharpest price decrease of Rp1,670 (2.43%) to Rp67,020 per kg.
