Saturday's (December 14th) Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onion, Chicken, and Sugar Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (14/12/2024) at 11:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, medium rice, red chili peppers, fine iodized salt, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp3,470 (9.84%) to Rp38,750 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the steepest price decrease of Rp4,340 (11.07%) to Rp34,860 per kg.
