East Java Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Friday, December 22, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (22/12/2023) at 14:24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, red chilies, milkfish, skipjack tuna, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp560 (1.92%) to Rp29,660 per kg. Milkfish experienced the lowest price decrease, falling Rp1,810 (5.41%) to Rp31,660 per kg.
