The daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in North Sumatra Province has increased by 43.76% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in North Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp51,250. This price is down Rp7,500 compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp35,650.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has increased by 30.08% from the previous trading price of Rp39,400.

The record high for the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in January 2021 with an increase of 93.64%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -46.88%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in North Sumatra show eight commodities decreased and 16 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Red Chilies, Large Red Chilies, Small Red Chilies, Green Chilies, Medium-Sized Garlic, Red Onions, Garlic, and Red Chilies.
