Red Chili Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Friday, August 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chilies (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 88,530 per kg, as of Friday, August 9, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 90,310 per kg.

The daily price of red chilies in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 156,350 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chilies in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 53,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Kalimantan, the price of red chilies was sold at Rp 129,450 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chilies in North Kalimantan was Rp 125,000 per kg, North Maluku Rp 115,150 per kg, and Maluku Rp 114,650 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 20 provinces with red chili sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chilies are Aceh, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
