Red Chili Pepper Price in East Kalimantan Reaches Rp 159,900 per Kg (Monday, August 12, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 98,925 per kg as of Monday, August 12, 2024. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 94,030 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 159,900 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 80,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Maluku, the price of red chili peppers was sold at Rp 149,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in West Papua was Rp 148,000 per kg, Banten Rp 120,650 per kg, and South Kalimantan Rp 119,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 14 provinces with red chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers are Yogyakarta Special Region, West Sulawesi, and North Sumatra.
