Local Sugar Prices in Gorontalo Highest in Indonesia (Friday, August 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of IDR 17,610 per kg for local granulated sugar in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, August 9, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of IDR 17,630 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in Gorontalo's modern markets was the highest in Indonesia, at IDR 23,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at IDR 12,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at IDR 19,350 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in Papua was IDR 18,500 per kg, Central Sulawesi IDR 18,400 per kg, and Southeast Sulawesi IDR 18,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, 16 provinces had local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for local granulated sugar were Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
