Chili Pepper Price in East Kalimantan Reaches Rp 167,200 per Kg (Friday, August 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 94,060 per kg as of Friday, August 9, 2024. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 87,325 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 167,200 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 55,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Kalimantan, the price of chili peppers was sold at Rp 140,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in Papua was Rp 139,500 per kg, South Kalimantan Rp 137,900 per kg, and West Papua Rp 128,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 19 provinces with chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers are Jambi, West Sulawesi, and North Sumatra.
