Chicken Prices Highest in These 10 Provinces (Friday, August 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chicken (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 43,790 per kg, as of Friday, August 9, 2024. Overall, the average this week is down compared to the previous week's average of Rp 44,530 per kg.

The daily price of chicken in Gorontalo's modern markets was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 57,450 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chicken in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 38,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Central Sulawesi's modern markets, the price of chicken was sold at Rp 56,750 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chicken in East Nusa Tenggara was Rp 56,300 per kg, East Kalimantan Rp 54,000 per kg, and Jambi Rp 53,650 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 18 provinces with chicken prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest chicken prices are South Sumatra, North Kalimantan, and West Sulawesi.
