West Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Monday, December 4, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (4/12/2023) at 11:43 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, farmer-level corn, simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp5,230 (7.34%), reaching Rp76,500 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp3,740 (11.22%), reaching Rp29,580 per kg.
