Local Sugar Prices in Gorontalo Are the Highest in Indonesia (Monday, February 28, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of local granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 13,570 per kg, data as of Monday, February 28, 2022. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 13,520 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in modern markets in Gorontalo was the most expensive in Indonesia at Rp 16,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province did not change. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 21,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at Rp 14,650 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in Central Java was Rp 13,900 per kg, Aceh Rp 13,800 per kg, and North Kalimantan Rp 13,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 10 provinces with local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for local granulated sugar are West Kalimantan, Bali, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
