Food Prices in East Java Today: Salt Price Rises, Buffalo Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (October 28, 2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 8 increased and 17 decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include corn at the farmer level, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, dried soybean (imported), shallots, SPHP rice, and fresh buffalo meat (local) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Corn at the farmer level saw the highest surge, increasing by Rp101 (1.66%) to Rp6,183 per kg. The price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) experienced the deepest drop, falling by Rp120,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
