Current Food Prices in Central Java: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (10/5/2024) at 15.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), medium rice, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, red chilies, granulated sugar, premium rice, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,700 (5.73%), reaching Rp31,350 per kg. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp400 (3.33%), reaching Rp11,630 per kg.
