Food Prices in West Java Today: Salt Price Rises, Red Chili Drops

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (September 30, 2025) at 12:48 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include garlic bulbs, red cayenne pepper, broiler chicken meat, medium rice, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, dried soybean seeds (imported), and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt commodity surged the highest by Rp279 (2.75%) to Rp10,437 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel fish fell the sharpest by Rp635 (1.49%) to Rp42,098 per kg.
