Today's Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Onions Up, Sugar Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (29/5/2024) at 15.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, premium rice, garlic bulbs, bulk wheat flour, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, chicken meat, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp2,560 (5.98%) to Rp45,390 per kg. Granulated sugar saw the lowest price decrease of Rp360 (2.07%) to Rp17,060 per kg.
