Today's Food Price Update in Yogyakarta Special Region: Prices of Onions, Chicken, and Rice Increase (Monday, April 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday, April 1st, 2024, at 10:15 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, red chilies, broiler chicken meat, simple packaged cooking oil, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, granulated sugar, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp3,840 (12.94%) to Rp33,520 per kg. Broiler chicken egg prices decreased the least, by Rp1,140 (4.1%) to Rp26,670 per kg.
