Bali Food Price Update Today: Prices of Cooking Oil, Chili Peppers, and Chicken Rise (Monday, February 5, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (5/2/2024) at 12:29 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil (simple packaging), dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, milkfish, iodized fine salt, garlic bulbs, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp4,210 (7.0%) to Rp64,390 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of chicken eggs decreased the most, dropping Rp2,430 (8.8%) to Rp25,170 per kg.

7. Garlic Bulbs: Rp33,640 per kg (down 0.77%)
8. Shallots: Rp28,370 per kg (down 4.09%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,170 per kg (down 8.8%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp24,010 per kg (up 3.71%)
