Current Food Prices in East Java: Oil and Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (30/4/2024) at 15.57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, red chilies, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, garlic bulbs, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase of Rp3,080 (7.14%), reaching Rp46,230 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,770 (6.27%), reaching Rp26,440 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp33,770 per kg (up 0.06%)
7. Milkfish: Rp33,280 per kg (up 0.51%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,670 per kg (down 0.52%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,300 per kg (up 1.3%)
10. Red Chili Peppers: Rp26,440 per kg (down 6.27%)
