Current Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (5/7/2024) at 09.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, premium rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,900 (16.7%) to Rp13,280 per kg. Shallots experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp2,190 (7.19%) to Rp28,270 per kg.
