Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Salt Up, Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (September 30, 2025) at 13:22 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 17 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were packaged wheat flour, consumption salt, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, curly red chili, milkfish, broiler eggs, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp67 (0.17%) to Rp38,906 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices dropped the deepest by Rp1,615 (3.91%) to Rp39,703 per kg.

5. Mackerel: Rp38,906 per kg (up 0.17%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,516 per kg (down 0.37%)
7. Shallots: Rp37,125 per kg (down 0.31%)
8. Garlic Bulbs: Rp33,703 per kg (down 0.92%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,450 per kg (down 0.37%)
10. Milkfish: Rp28,051 per kg (down 0.77%)
