Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chili, Rice, and Sugar Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (6/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), milkfish, SPHP rice, garlic cloves, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices surged the highest, by Rp60 (1.25%) to Rp4,850 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most, by Rp6,510 (10.62%) to Rp54,770 per kg.
