Latest Food Prices in East Java: Oil, Rice, and Red Chili Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (5/11/2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, red bird's eye chili, Minyakita cooking oil, consumption sugar, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, curly red chili, shallots, garlic, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili saw the highest increase of Rp1,103 (2.28%) to Rp49,505 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili price dropped the sharpest by Rp923 (1.93%) to Rp47,021 per kg.
