South Sumatra Food Prices Sunday (9/11): Red Chili Prices Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (9/11/2025) at 13.55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 saw an increase and 11 saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include large red chili, consumption salt, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, red cayenne pepper, dried soybean seeds (imported), medium rice, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest price increase of Rp950 (1.59%) to Rp60,848 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices dropped the sharpest by Rp356 (0.94%) to Rp37,591 per kg.
