Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Salt Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (10/5/2024) at 16.24 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, red chili peppers, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp70 (0.19%) to Rp37,260 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp240 (3.93%) to Rp5,870 per kg.
