Indonesia Food Prices on Saturday (September 7th): What's the Price of Chili Peppers?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Saturday (7/9/2024) at 11:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, chicken eggs, shallots, pure beef, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp340 (1.33%), reaching Rp25,990 per kg. Milkfish had the sharpest price drop of Rp430 (1.3%), reaching Rp32,560 per kg.
