Today's Food Prices March 13 in East Java: Red Chili Rises, Bird's Eye Chili Falls

Some food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 13, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include premium packaged palm cooking oil, beef rump, bulk granulated sugar, premium rice, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as chicken eggs, Honan garlic, red bird's eye chili, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity had the highest increase of Rp711 (2.39%) to Rp30,486 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili price dropped the most by Rp2,402 (2.92%) to Rp79,803 per kg.
