Sumatera Barat Food Prices on Friday, August 9th: What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (9/8/2024) at 16.13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include all-purpose flour (bulk), broiler chicken, shallots, skipjack tuna, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged all-purpose flour (non-bulk), pure beef, milkfish, red chilies, and red cayenne peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp440 (2.11%) to Rp21,300 per kg. Red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp2,800 (6.42%) to Rp40,830 per kg.
