Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (10/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, SPHP rice, skipjack tuna, fine iodized salt, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, red chilies, mackerel, farmer-level corn, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of fine iodized salt saw the highest increase, jumping Rp960 (10.39%) to Rp10,200 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the sharpest price drop, decreasing by Rp690 (13.48%) to Rp4,430 per kg.

6. Mackerel: Rp32,390 per kg (down 3.74%)
7. Milkfish: Rp31,250 per kg (down 3.58%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,410 per kg (up 0.56%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,280 per kg (down 0.27%)
10. Red Onions: Rp20,280 per kg (up 2.48%)
11. Packaged Cooking Oil (Simple): Rp17,260 per liter (up 3.79%)
